Our Specialties

Child and Adolescent Mental Health

This field addresses a wide range of issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral problems, and developmental disorders. Our goal is to support the mental well-being of children and adolescents helping them to thrive in their personal, social, academic, and family lives. We acknowledge that each child has different personalities, needs, and preferences. Therefore a wide variety of evaluation methods and therapeutic skills are used to evaluate and treat children and adolescents with mental health challenges.

Play Therapy

Play therapy is used for younger children. This is a therapeutic approach specifically designed for children. Through play, children can express their feelings, explore their thoughts, and make sense of their experiences in a safe and supportive setting. Play therapy helps children communicate at their own level and at their own pace, which can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle to express themselves verbally

our services

Tailored services

Psyciatric, sosio-emotional and ecometric evaluations are done to accurately assess a wide range of mental health conditions in children and adolescents.

Our evaluations are tailored to each individual, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs.

Child Therapy

Childhood is a crucial phase of development shaping a child's life and future. Unfortunately, some children encounter various issues that can impede their social and emotional well-being. The primary goal of the therapist is to understand and treat these challenges faced by the child.

Adolescents

The Adolescent years are a critical period of development characterized by rapid physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. Adolescence is a time of exploration, identity formation, and increased independence.

Parental Guidance

There is no such thing as a perfect parent but being a good enough parent is important. Very few parents intend to harm their children in any way. Unfortunately, children are often emotionally hurt by parents who do not know better and are repeating destructive and dysfunctional family patterns.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry specializes in the diagnosis and the treatment of disorders of thinking, feeling and/or behavior affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry offers families the advantages of a medical education, the medical traditions of professional ethics, and medical responsibility for providing comprehensive care.

Play therapy is a form of therapy used primarily for children. That’s because children may not be able to process their own emotions or articulate problems to parents or other adults.

While it may look like an ordinary playtime, play therapy can be much more than that.

A trained therapist can use playtime to observe and gain insights into a child’s problems. The therapist can then help the child explore emotions and deal with unresolved trauma. Through play, children can learn new coping mechanisms and how to redirect inappropriate behaviors.
